Dear Aitoc user,
We have important news to announce today: Aitoc has been acquired by an investment firm headed by angel investor Hleb Leushunou.
Needless to say, this is a turning point in Aitoc’s history, and we’d like to expand more on the company’s current state of affairs and our future plans.
The new history of Aitoc
On the one hand, many things will remain the same – at least for now. We’ll continue the support of current Aitoc products and have no plans to terminate any of them in the near future.
On the other hand, we have many great things in store for you, and works are in full swing at the Aitoc office to bring them to life.
Meet our new CEO
Besides being the head the group that acquired Aitoc, Hleb Leushunou is also taking over as Aitoc’s CEO. In the past, Hleb has invested in a number of successful projects, and we are honored to have him on board (or rather steering the ship) at this time.
Aitoc’s new partners
Over the past few months, Aitoc has formed a number of far-reaching partnerships that will help the company grow beyond its current creative and technical potential.
First off, we have teamed up with Mageworx, a known Magento extensions developer. We have high expectations of this partnership, as the team at MageWorx have a great deal of technical expertise to contribute.
For you this will mean more elegant solutions to the challenges you may be faced with while using the Magento e-commerce platform.
Second, another strategic partner of ours is the UI-look group. UI-look has been on the market since 2008, providing UX-science-based solutions for online businesses.
With some UI-look folks now on our team, we plan to revamp our extensions’ usability as well as look-and-feel in the near future.
Upcoming Aitoc site
Speaking of the things to come, the nearest big step will be the new Aitoc website coming out in a few months’ time.
We will announce its release in the newsletter, on our blog and on social networks. So, be sure to sub to us in the way that’s convenient to you to be the first to see it!
Reframing our business perspective
Another big change (that has already begun) concerns our stance on Aitoc’s business practices. During its 10+ years of existence, Aitoc has been guided by a certain policy that does not necessarily fit the new management’s vision.
Turning the page, we’d like to reframe our business approach from the ground up. Among other things, it involves being completely transparent about our pricing model and business practices.
The first step we’ve taken in this direction is we’ve started making changes to our extensions so that the latter meet Magento’s developer best practices.
Besides, we have extended the default time-period during which our customers get free updates from 3 to 6 months. So, now you get double the value for the same money.
Have your say
