A customer isn’t required to choose a card type. It’s enough to type the first digits of the card number and the network the card belongs to will be identified automatically. The grayed out logo icon shows that the card network has been identified.

Some users perceive card logos as buttons and try to press them before typing in the card number. We intentionally made the logos clickable, so that those customers who will inevitably try to click on them can do so, even though it makes no sense from a technical point of view.

Value deals and mentions of other available offers are repeated in the checkout area to encourage customers to buy more.
