Configuration
General
Go to STORES → CONFIGURATION → AITOC EXTENSIONS → IMAGE OPTIMIZER → GENERAL to configure the extension.
Here you can Enable/Disable it.
Choose 'Yes' to use the extension features. Support image types: JPEG, PNG, GIF.
Status
In this section, you're able to see optimization status of modified images. Also, you can find the Last Scan and the Last Optimization data.
Note
If an image has already been optimized but modified afterward for some reason, then our extension automatically identifies this image and re-optimize it.
Advanced Options
You can 'Optimize Current Directories': select 'Add' button to enter the path into the path field. The entered paths will be scanned with images in that path.

Also, you can 'Exclude Directories From Optimization': select 'Add' button to enter the path where you don’t want to scan the image in that folder.

Moreover, the extension compresses images using pngquant, optipng, jpegoptim and gifsicle tools. They are placed in app/code/Aitoc/ImageOptimization/tools
If it is required by your environment security settings to keep such tools under other directory, you could use the 'Custom Path To Directory With Optimization Tools' setting.
Processed Images Grid
Processed images are set up in SYSTEM → PROCESSED IMAGES.
Also, on this handy grid, you can find:
- ID
- Path
- Status
- Result
- Action
In order not to select each picture individually, you can mark them with a tick and choose the option that suits you in our 'Actions' drop-down menu:
